10.13.16: A Short Note from Apostle Lewis

Good Morning Kairos Church,

I greet you this morning in the Joy of the Lord. It has been nearly a week since the horrific Hurricane Matthew touched our lives.
It has damaged property, caused evacuations, and even taken lives across the state, but thanks be to God who has caused us to triumph.
If there are some of you that are still in need, please don’t hesitate to contact me or the church. I know some of you have been without power and other creature comforts that have now been restored and thank God. If some of you are still in need of such things, please inform us that we may assist you.
Brothers and Sisters, please remember that the best of your life is before you, and the worst of your life is behind you.

Grace & Peace,

Apostle Lewis

Hello KCM,
This is a note I should have shared with you on Sunday, but the anointing was so high I failed to carry it out.  However, for those of you who don’t have Facebook, please accept this thank you note. Also, please share with other within the ministry.

Love you, Apostle

NOTE OF THANKS FROM APOSTLE LEWIS
Sunday, I was completely surprised and had no idea that anything like that was going on behind the scenes. You handed me gift bags that had some awesome gifts of your love and care. Also, I received cards with love offerings and words of expressions of love and encouraging words – even bags with coffee and gift cards for coffee. You guys know me so well.Again, thank you for your generosity, as Paul did often to the churches that supported him: “Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God” (Philippians 4:17-18).–

Pastor C.E. Lewis, Sr., DMin.

3.30.16 From the Apostle’s Desk: Journey to Pentecost

Hello Saints of God,

Resurrection Sunday was such a joyous celebration as we remembered all that Christ did for us on that Day, fulfilling the Isaiah 40:2 (KJV) prophecy which says, Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sin. We must believe that the Lord has released DOUBLE into our lives spiritually so we can have spiritual success. As we continue to celebrate the finished work of Calvary, we, must now move forward in our preparation for the journey to PENTECOST Sunday as Christ’s disciples had to do.
As we reflect on this time, we understand that Christ instructed His disciples to go to Galilee and wait (SERVE GOD) until they were ENDUED (filled or saturated) with power from on high (Matthew 28).
The disciples’ journey to Pentecost was one of preparation for a shifting to a new spiritual level. This shifting was necessary for the disciples to be able to utilize the DOUBLE that had been secured for them on the cross. They had to get with like-minded people to obtain the power needed to carry out their God-given assignment; they had to make sure everything functioning within their atmosphere was on ONE ACCORD (Acts 1).
This journey to PENTECOST is not of denominational necessity, but rather this trip is for believers who desire to walk in the power and demonstration of the servants of Christ.
This mission allows Christians, followers of Christ, to be fully clothed with the promise of the Holy Spirit and the power of God. Holy Spirit empowers and enables us to be witnesses for Christ in all aspects of our lives. This POWER is what enables us to be like Peter when he approached the lame man at the gate called Beautiful. Peter told the man in Acts 3:6 (KJV), Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
We need the “such as I have give I thee” which is the power of the Name of Jesus Christ. We know that Jesus got up with all power, for all power has been given to Him in both heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18). Saints of God, the name of Jesus is that DOUBLE, which was secured for us on Resurrection Sunday, for He got up will ALL POWER. The POWER OF GOD and the use of the NAME OF JESUS is our DOUBLE, and this is all spiritual, Saints of God.Our celebration for Pentecost will be Sunday, May 15, 2016. Let us prepare to celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, for that is the day that marks the birth of the Christian Church. In early years this day was known as Whitsunday—translated White Sunday because of those being baptized in white robes.
On Pentecost, we renovate our souls so that our hearts may make room for Holy Spirit. And finally, a glorious dawn breaks, shattering the darkness. God’s Holy Spirit comes near/ Emmanuel, “God is with us.” PENTECOST is here, and it is anything but dull. Make this Pentecost what it is meant to be- an EMPOWERING FOR YOU TO WITNESS!
So begin renovating your heart. Recover that old couch, clean up the yard, sweep off the porch, and set the table for a banquet. Luke 24 tells us “What comes next is critical: I am sending what my Father promised to you, so stay here in the city until he arrives, until you’re equipped with power from on high.”

Alleluia,

Apostle C. E. Lewis, Sr.
