Planting Your Seed

(A Note from Apostle Charles E. Lewis)

February 1, 2013

Hello Saints of God,

It’s time to plant our seeds for our Resurrection harvest.

FAITH TURNS THINGS INTO A MATERIAL REALITY:

Jesus teaches on “Faith as a Servant” in Luke’s Gospel, chapter seventeen.

Luke 17:5 (Amplified Translation)

“The apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith (that trust and confidence that spring from our belief in God)”

Luke 17:6-10

The Lord answered, “If you had faith as big as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Pull yourself up by the roots and plant yourself in the sea!’ and it would obey you.

“Suppose one of you has a servant who is plowing or looking after the sheep. When he comes in from the field, do you tell him to hurry along and eat his meal?

Of course not! Instead, you say to him, ‘Get my supper ready, then put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may have your meal.’

The servant does not deserve thanks for obeying orders, does he?

It is the same with you; when you have done all you have been told to do, say, ‘We are ordinary servants; we have only done our duty.’ “

During our New Year’s Eve service everyone received a packet of seeds to plant on February 1st. Well, the date for planting is here. We will place our seed in a cup or pot in our homes or work so we can give it the attention needed to grow. Then on Resurrection Sunday we will bring our beautiful plant with us so that we may plant it with our brothers and sisters at church.

Our faith does not start out fully grown of fully developed. You receive the Word of God as mother would conceive a child. Then the word of God grows inside of you like a child grows inside its mother’s womb. Faith grows and develops in the womb of your spirit (the unseen). Eventually there will be a manifestation when faith is released to work and change things that are seen. PRAISE GOD!

When we plant our seed we must name it and start using our faith. THINK BIG.

Jesus teaches that we shouldn’t allow faith to rest until our work here is done and all our assignments are completed. We will attend to the physical seed by watering and ensuring proper sunlight is received on a daily basis.  The same holds true for attending to our spiritual faith, by praying, reading, fasting, and meditating on the word on a daily basis.

I declare that from this day you will use your faith like never before, not only to possess your inheritance of your seed, but to lift the curse off the whole city and community where we live. Don’t dare to set on your faith, but LET FAITH WORK and do for you what it has been sent to do…to serve you until your work here on this planet is done.

Lisa and I thank God for you and deeply appreciate your prayers and your support. Your faithfulness has helped to the uttermost parts of the earth with the gospel, making a difference in lives.

We fervently pray for you and agree with you for speedy growth on your seed. Again, thank you. We love you and may your faith continue to grow and my this planting of a real seed allow you to see your faith grow exceedingly.

We love you, and “Keep Walking by Faith”
